The National Council for Water and Electricity (CNEE) launched, on Monday February 17, 2025, a vast awareness campaign on the use of energy and water resources made available.
Led by the Recovery and Control Directorate (DRC), this campaign under the theme "Sanitation and preservation of public property" aims to inform local authorities about the missions of the National Council for Water and Electricity on one hand and on the other hand about the issues related to high billing costs for water and electricity consumption of local authority buildings, public fountains as well as public lighting.
Situation caused by many illegal or even fraudulent connections. The objective of this awareness is to promote responsible use of resources and also encourage good practices, fight against waste and preserve a healthy environment around public fountains.
Awareness program
The awareness program, which started at Libreville city hall, will continue in the 6 districts of Libreville municipality and will include:
- Context presentation and projection
- Distribution of brochures and awareness materials
- Exchanges and discussions
